If you have any questions regarding membership or requirements, the Committee will be happy to assist.
Absolutely! The Australian Kiteflyers Society welcomes everyone with an interest in kites. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced flyer, we’d love for you to join our community!
We aim to catch the wind together at least once a month (weather permitting, of course!). As a member, you’ll get exclusive access to our members-only Facebook page your go to spot for fly-day updates, sharing epic kite pics, swapping tips, and hatching plans for our next big adventures. It’s the perfect way to meet fellow kite fanatics, make new friends, and keep your kite soaring high all year round!
You can fly any type of kite you love! Just make sure it’s safe for public areas. We often see everything from traditional to modern designs, and we love creative kites as well!
Yes like most club membership there is a small fee. We believe in making kite flying accessible to everyone!
For the festival, it’s best to bring your kite, a picnic blanket, sunscreen, and plenty of water. Don’t forget your camera to capture those amazing moments! If you’re planning to stay all day, a light jacket might also come in handy.
You can help by volunteering at events, spreading the word about kite flying, or simply attending our gatherings and sharing your enthusiasm. Every little bit helps us grow our wonderful kite community!
